How King Kong: The Game Should've Sounded

A true nostalgia piece was this video here. After making “How Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Should’ve Sounded,” I wanted to insert a slight break into the series of videos on the Spider-Man franchise. So, I decided to take it back to a childhood classic: Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie.

Not only did the game have a mouthful of a title, but it also had a bombastic take on the story of the 2003 film, King Kong. I chose to tackle one of the most intense missions in the game: V-Rex. This mission sees the player as Jack Driscoll, when he, Carl Denham, and Ben Hayes must escape the pursuit of a terrifying V-Rex.

The goal of my remake was to make the chase and level feel as terrifying as it did for me when I was a kid. I went the orchestral route on this one, using big drums, aggressive strings and horns, and a choir. This one was really fun to work on and I was pleased with the final result.
